Cochrane delegation visits PAHO/WHO

A group of Cochrane contributors, including CEO Mark Wilson and US Cochrane Center Director Kay Dickersin, visited the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) in Washington, DC on 12 April. In a presentation focusing on the Collaboration's goal to "become truly global in new ways", contributors talked about ongoing and planned initiatives focusing on translation of Cochrane evidence into languages other than English, building capacity in low- and middle-income countries, and further developing cooperative relationships already established between PAHO/WHO and Cochrane entities.

Mark Wilson, describing the Collaboration's vision for the future, said that “We want to maintain and expand Cochrane as a vibrant membership organization that is better known and even more influential around the world.”
